In general terms, a switch rod combines the best characteristics and light weight that you associate with your go-to favorite fly rod and adds the ability to enhance your casting reach with second-hand assistance. The EMG Switch Rod includes saltwater and freshwater design considerations. The saltwater model features an ALPS triangular locking reel seat and the freshwater model employs an REC reel seat with highly-figured Cocobolo wood inserts. Both models are 11-foot, 4-piece configurations in 6, 7, and 8 weight.
