Great Bay Rod Company takes pride in "taking the path least traveled" and we're no different when it comes to new rod designs. We listen to our customers, pay attention to their needs, and design our rods with the features and performance attributes requested most. It was in this spirit that we introduced the SFT fiberglass rod series. Introduced in the Fall of 2008, these rods have become one of our more popular series as anglers take a step back into a slightly more relaxed casting stroke. These rods are not your Dad's fiberglass rods; far from it, these rods have more backbone than many of the older fiberglass fly rods (like the Shakespeare Wonder Rod that was handed down to the President of this company from his father).

Brumby Creek Series: Medium action taper, S-glass fiberglass. 5' 2-piece configuration. Weights 2-4. REC cork and ring reel seat, half wells cork grip.
Saxon Creek Series: Medium action taper, S-glass fiberglass. 6'6" 4-piece configuration. Weights 2-4. REC downlocking reel seat with Tulipwood insert, half wells cork grip.
Northeast Series: Medium action taper, S-glass fiberglass. 7' 4-piece configuration. Weights 2-5. REC uplocking reel seat with Tulipwood insert, half wells cork grip.
All rods feature our proprietary tapers, and a lifetime original-owner warranty. Every rod ships with a Great Bay Rod Company branded aluminum rod tube and rod bag. Great Bay Rod Company carefully inspects each rod for fit and finish and performs quality assurance testing on 100% of the products that leave our facility; testing includes, static deflection testing to insure precise guide placement, hand casting of all fly rods, and actual line weight measurement verification.
